POLLS ARE OPEN NOV. 5th, 7am-7pm. Or, vote early at the Courthouse!
Like many others here, I am lifelong resident of Shelby County. I am the daughter of Linda and Wilbur Kingston; my father was involved in local government as well. I became a Deputy Clerk in the Circuit Clerk's Office in April of 1997 and maintained my position until 2020 when I took office as the Circuit Clerk.
I bring with me the knowledge and experience that is required to run the office of Circuit Clerk. This is not a job that anyone off the street can step into immediately. The bureaucratic workings of the court require experience and knowledge that I have developed over nearly three decades.
I am a member of the First Christian Church in Shelbyville, the VFW Post 4829 Auxilliary, the Old River Chapter of A.B.A.T.E. and a former member of the local AFSCME 3320.
I feel that it is imperative for our community to band together and stand up for what's right for our neighbors and friends. We need to end the divisiveness that has damaged our country and our county. I am in favor of farming the county farm, and getting our dive team back in service; our citizens need their experience and skills protecting them on our waterways and on our roads. I also stand 100% behind each and every one of our city, village, and county law enforcement officers.
It would be my honor to continue to serve the residents of Shelby County as your Circuit Clerk. Please vote for me and support my fellow candidates trying to restore faith in our great county!
