Austin Pritchard - District 4

I have lived in Shelby County most of my life, since 7th grade. My family has been here all their life - my grandparents and my mom went to school here until college.

I have always been involved in the community. I volunteered with electric work on the Roxy Theater & Festival of Lights,. I have been a part of the Shelby County Dive Team for 15 years. For seven years I was a reserve Sheriff's Deputy. I have coached little league and JFL. I was self employed for 13 years.

I live here because it’s a great community. I want to live and raise my family in a community where we know each other, where my kids can walk down the sidewalk with no fear of something happening to them. A community where people lend a helping hand in a time of need, whether they know you or not. Where someone will stop to help or give you a ride when you’re broke down on the side of the road. THAT IS SHELBY COUNTY. That sense of community is what I want to help re-establish and ensure that it continues for my kids and grandkids to enjoy as I have. I want them to take the pride in it that I have, and contribute to its preservation and growth.
